Each year, the South Suburban Parks and Recreation Professional Association honors park board members who reach service milestones.
Midlothian Park District board president Mike Kohlstedt presented service award certificates to commissioners Tim Powers and Tom O’Shea at a recent board meeting.
Powers was recognized for 15 years of service to the park district, and O’Shea was recognized for five years of service.
“We are grateful to both of these community leaders, who freely share their time and talent to provide recreational opportunities for the residents of the Midlothian Park District,” said district officials in a news release. “We hope we can count on their continued service to our community for many more years.
“We offer them our congratulations and our thanks.”
