Here is a look at what Southlanders are accomplishing in college. News from the SouthtownStar’s Central region includes Mokena, Midlothian, Frankfort, Tinley Park, Lockport, Oak Forest, Orland Park and Crestwood.
Beloit College
Katherine Ptaszek, of Mokena, has been named the the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at Beloit College in Beloit, Wis.
Blackburn College
Amanda Orzechowski, of Midlothian, has been named to the spring 2012 dean’s list at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Ill.
Calvin College
Christina J. Messick, of Frankfort, has been named to the fall 2011 dean’s list at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Creighton University
Zipporah Drake, of Tinley Park, has been named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb.
Drake University
Paige Zidek, of Tinley Park, has been named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
Hope College
Adam Maley, of Lockport; Amanda Littleton and Andrew Cook, both of Frankfort; and Faith Koleczek, of Oak Forest; have each been named to the second semester dean’s list at Hope College in Holland, Mich.
Indiana State University
Carson Moesle, of Orland Park, has been named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at Indiana State University in Terre Haute.
Iowa State University
Brittany Ann Huisenga, Elizabeth Ann Parks and Dana Virginia Rybarski, all of Mokena, have each received a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University in Ames.
Angela Marie Riffice, of Tinley Park, has received a doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Iowa State.
Loyola University
Victoria Gordon, of Oak Forest, has been named to the second semester dean’s list at Loyola University in Chicago.
North Central College
Megan Postema, of Crestwood, has been awarded the 2012 Outstanding Major in Athletic Training Award at North Central College in Naperville, Ill.
St. Norbert College
Craig Fagan and Raymond Kay, both of Orland Park; and Christopher Amann, of Oak Forest; have each been named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wis.
University of Illinois College
Matthew Howard, of Lockport, has graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.
University of Indianapolis
Meghan Sullivan, of Tinley Park, has been named to the semester II 2012 dean’s list at the University of Indianapolis.
