Legacy Dance Ensemble, a youth competition team from Oak Forest, recently traveled to Wisconsin to compete in a national dance event against 50 other studios and 1,200 routines.

The dancers came out on top, winning the Grand National Finals and being crowned Grand National Champions 2012.

The team’s performance of “Creatures of the Jungle,” which was choreographed by Jacqueline Spreadbury and Leah Fisher, received a near-perfect score to take the title.

The team celebrated by drinking a Slurpee from their winning cup.

“Creatures of the Jungle” featured Abigail Dudich, Lizzy Loeb, Jenna Loeb, Nicole Boudos, Jennifer Colander, Summer Thurmond, Madison Lenzi, Kayla Piunti, Michelle Spreadbury, Emma Skoubas and Sarah McDonough.
