Midlothian, Oak Forest police blotter

MIDLOTHIAN

VAN BURGLARY: Power tools valued at $3,000 were stolen June 18 from a van in the 3800 block of 153rd Street.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Mario Philpotts, 45, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license June 19 after a stop at 148th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Deshaughn Boyd, 26, 3305 W. 147th St., Midlothian, was charged with driving on a suspended license June 21 following a stop at 147th Street and Turner Avenue, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: Two televisions, a game system, several games and a laptop computer were stolen June 21 from an apartment in the 3600 block of 147th Street.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Morgan D. Miller, 24, 14519 Turner Ave., Midlothian, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop June 22 at 146th Street and Trumball Avenue, police said.

DRUG ARREST: John E. Ericks, 44, 10718 Louisiana Court, Orland Park, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia June 22 after he was stopped at 147th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.

DRUG CHARGE: Alejandro Ortiz, 24, 14411 Lawndale Ave., Midlothian, was charged with possession of a controlled substance after a June 24 stop at 147th Street and St. Louis Avenue, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Michael Raspanti, 45, 14901 Kostner Ave., Midlothian, was charged with domestic battery, and Shelby Ladewig, of the same address, was charged with assault after a June 24 disturbance at their home, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: Three semi-automatic handguns were stolen June 24 from a safe in a house in the 14800 block of Kilpatrick Avenue.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: William J. Blanchard, 28, 14453 Kenneth Ave., Midlothian, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a June 25 stop at 147th Street and Kilbourn Avenue, police said.

CAR BURGLARY: A laptop computer was stolen June 26 from a car in the 14400 block of Homan Avenue.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Ismael Arellano, 21, 12217 Artesian Ave., Blue Island, was charged with driving on a suspended license June 26 after being stopped at 145th Street and Kedzie Avenue, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: A television and a laptop computer were stolen June 27 from an apartment in the 14600 block of Karlov Avenue.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Anselmo Cordero, 26, 14801 Kilpatrick Ave., Midlothian, was charged with domestic battery after a June 27 disturbance at his home, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Christina A. Pierson, 20, of South Holland, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop June 28 at 147th Street and Kilpatrick Avenue, police said.

DUI ARREST: Matthew A. Eastman, 28, 15155 Hilltop Court, Orland Park, was charged with drunken driving after being stopped June 29 in the 4600 block of 147th Street, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: Two televisions and three game systems were stolen June 29 from an apartment in the 3600 block of 147th Street.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Jose T. Martinez, 23, 14740 Kilpatrick Ave., Midlothian, was charged with domestic battery July 1 after a disturbance at his home, police said.

ARSON: Marvin Fisher, 54, 3249 W. 147th St., Midlothian, was charged with aggravated arson after he set fire to a room July 1 at the Plaza Terrace nursing home, 3249 W. 147th St., Midlothian, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Christopher V. Ramos, 47, 14936 Kostner Ave., Midlothian, was charged with driving on a suspended license July 2 after a stop at 148th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Aaron S. Davis, 39, of East Chicago, Ind., was charged with driving on a suspended license after he was stopped July 3 at 145th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Tommie E. Walker, 24, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a July 3 stop at 139th Street and Lydia Avenue, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Charles E. Mason, 40, 14729 Homan Ave., Midlothian, was charged with domestic battery July 4 after a disturbance at his home, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Ryan Arvanites, 25, 14440 Keeler Ave., Midlothian, was charged with domestic battery after a July 4 incident at his home, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Allan Obillo, 31, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop July 4 at 145th Street and Kedzie Avenue, police said.

BATTERY: David S. Shane, 50, 2901 W. 98th Place, Evergreen Park, was charged with battery following a July 5 disturbance in the 148000 block of Pulaski Road, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Oscar Hernandez, 18, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license after being stopped July 5 at 147th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.

MARIJUANA CHARGE: Mohammad Najjar, 37, 10705 Linder Ave., Oak Lawn, was charged with possession of marijuana July 6 after a stop at 146th Street and Pulaski Road, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Martin Diaz, 47, of Harvey, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop July 7 at 147th Street and Waverly Avenue, police said.

OAK FOREST

HOME BURGLARY: A watch, pearl bracelet and two gold necklaces with a combined value of $1,000 were stolen June 25 from a house in the 15900 block of Lockwood Avenue.

CAR BURGLARY: An iPod was stolen June 25 or 26 from a car parked in the 5800 block of Essex Road.

NO LICENSE: Natasha S. Lewis, 26, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid license and disobeying a traffic signal June 26 after a stop at 159th Street and LeClaire Avenue, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: An unknown amount of jewelry was stolen June 27 from a house in the 15900 block of Long Avenue.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Idrese Cooper, 23, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop June 28 at 159th Street and Laramie Avenue, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: A digital camera was stolen June 28 or 29 from a house in the 14900 block of Lamon Avenue, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Felicia Rupert, 29, 4809 Engle, Alsip, was charged with driving on suspended license June 29 after she was stopped at 153rd Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

DUI ARREST: Aridiah Holloway, 38, of Rantoul, Ill., was charged with drunken driving and not wearing a seat belt after being stopped June 30 at 151st Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: David A. Schafer, 58, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft June 30 after he stole DVDs from Jewel-Osco, 5616 W. 159th St., police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Chanta Pickett, 23, of Lynwood, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop June 30 at 159th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Tammy Hileman, 54, 15007 Parkside Ave., Oak Forest, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a June 30 stop at 149th Street and Central Avenue, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Travis Landers, 31, 15734 Lake St., Oak Forest, was charged with domestic battery and interfering with a report of domestic battery July 4 following a disturbance at his home, police said.

HIT-AND-RUN: Amber L. Martin, 24, 15001 LaPalm Drive, Oak Forest, was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident July 4 in the 5400 block of 159th Street, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: Two game systems and several games were stolen July 4 from a house in the 16600 block of Lockridge Avenue.

BATTERY: Kathleen D. Busch, 51, 15800 Terrace Drive, Oak Forest, was charged with battery July 5 after a disturbance in the 15700 block of Terrace Drive, police said.

CAR BURGLARY: A purse containing credit cards, IDs and $40 cash was stolen July 7 from a car at 153rd Street and Lavergne Avenue.

CAR BURGLARY: Tools and a pair of basketball shoes were stolen between July 7 and 9 from a car in the 15700 block of Thomas Lane.

VANDALISM: Landscape bricks were used July 8 to smash the windshield and rear window of a car parked in the 6300 block of Victoria Drive.

RESISTING ARREST: Thomas J. Williams, 55, 14940 LeClaire Ave., Oak Forest, was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after a dispute July 8 at his residence, police said.

CAR BURGLARY: An iPod was stolen July 8 or 9 from a car in the 15200 block of Geoffrey Road.
