News from the SouthtownStar’s Central region includes Tinley Park, Lockport, New Lenox, Frankfort, Orland Park, Crestwood, Homer Glen, Manhattan, Midlothian, Mokena, Oak Forest and Orland Hills.
Elizabeth Hilton, of Tinley Park, recently participated in a trip to Nicaragua to work with physicians to provide services in areas of the country which do not have permanent medical facilities. Hilton is a junior majoring in biology at Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill.
Danielle Wydra, of Lockport; Alexandra Carr , of New Lenox; and Stephanie Sabo, of Tinley Park; have each been named to the spring semester 2012 dean’s list at Maryville University in St. Louis.
Miami of Ohio University
Kaitlyn Marie Drouillard, of Frankfort, has been named to the second semester 2011-12 president’s list at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Maureen Anne Sullivan, of Orland Park; and Lauren Elise Steinberger, of Tinley Park; have earned bachelor’s degrees from Miami.
