Midlothian office manager honored

Midlothian Park District office manager Debbie Miller recently was named the district’s Treasure of the Month for August.
Miller was nominated by park director Evelyn Gleason for devising a way to track rental information and reduce the cost of printing rental forms.
“We are always looking for ways to lower our operating costs,” Gleason said. “Debbie’s idea saved paper and printing, and streamlined our entire rental process.”
Miller joined the Midlothian Park District staff last September. She lives in Midlothian with her husband, Mark, and her children, Mark Jr. and Michelle. She said she loves spending time with her granddaughter, Madeleine.
“We are very pleased to have Debbie on our staff,” park district officials said in a news release. “She is very friendly to our patrons and has done a great job of organizing ... the front office. When you have someone on your staff who is efficient and also knows how to save money, you have a treasure.”
