The Second City
The main series will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 when Chicago’s legendary comedy theater troupe, the Second City, takes on the election in “Second City for President.”
“Do you have electoral fatigue? Do polling numbers and spin doctors have you reeling? Then, the Second City has the perfect remedy, ‘Second City for President’: a gut-busting comedy revue that doles out laughter at the expense of both sides of the aisle
as well as comedy that is decidedly apolitical, uncensored and unabashedly hilarious,” officials said.
“ ‘Second City for President’ runs on a strictly pro-comedy platform.
“The Second City celebrates over 50 years of cutting-edge satiric revues and continues to deliver the leading voices in comedy while touring the globe.
“With scripted and improvisational elements, audiences always enjoy being part of the show and playing along with the next generation of comic legends.”
Tickets for “Second City for President” are $24 for the show, which is sponsored by Marlene Gallagher & Shanti Thayil and the SouthtownStar.
