St. Chris students show mettle, win medals

Four eighth-graders at St. Christopher School in Midlothian recently participated in the Academic Olympics Competition at St. Rita High School in Chicago.
Students Lenny Feil, Thomas Rodriguez, Nicko Banda and Elias Snyder competed with students from other area schools in testing their knowledge in a variety of academic subjects.
Feil won a bronze medal in both science and English, and Snyder won a bronze medal in science.
“Our entire school community is extremely proud of the accomplishment of our eighth-grade team,” Principal Michael Johnson said.
“Their success is a result of their hard work and perseverance in preparing for this competition. The achievement of this team also reflects the strong academic curriculum of our school and of the dedication and innovation of our faculty and staff.”
