Midlothian, Oak Forest police blotter

MIDLOTHIAN

HOME BURGLARY: An air conditioner was stolen between March 22 and 30 from a house in the 14600 block of Abbottsford Road.

BURGLARY: Copper piping was stolen between March 28 and 31 from the furnace and air conditioner at an unoccupied house in the 14800 block of St. Louis Avenue.

VANDALISM: The rear window a car was shattered March 29 in the 15000 block of Keeler Avenue.

BATTERY: Brian C. Smith, 20, of Posen, was charged with battery March 29 following a disturbance at the Midlothian Park District, 14500 Kostner Ave., police said.

BIKE THEFT: A bicycle was stolen March 30 from a garage in the 14300 block of Kilbourn Avenue.

THEFT: $30 cash was stolen March 31 from an apartment in the 3300 block of 147th Street.

POT POSSESSION: Bryan T. Leonard, 32, 5321 Waterbury Drive, Crestwood, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a March 31 stop at 152nd Street and Millard Avenue, police said.

OAK FOREST

HOME BURGLARY: A chest freezer and garbage cans were stolen between March 1 and 30 from a house in the 16400 block of Terry Lane.

POT POSSESSION: Dylan Dias, 21, 15812 S. 86th Ave., Orland Park, was charged with possession of marijuana March 26 following a stop at 159th Street and Arroyo Drive, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Cherron Gillum, 39, 4033 W. 127th St., Alsip, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a stop March 27 at 157th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: A laptop computer was stolen March 27 from a house in the 16000 block of Forest Avenue.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Joseph P. Rizza, 28, 15807 Aspen Court, Oak Forest, was charged with domestic battery March 29 after a disturbance at his home, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: A safe containing $600 cash was stolen March 30 from a house in the 15700 block of Lamon Avenue.

DUI ARREST: Rohtkumar Patel, 39, 16702 Cicero Ave., Oak Forest, was charged with drunken driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and leaving the scene of an accident after a March 31 stop at 167th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: David C. Armstrong, 50, 16431 Craig Drive, Oak Forest, was charged with domestic battery March 31 after a disturbance at his home, police said.
