At the Midlothian Park District’s 15th Annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony earlier this year, Dave Badagliacco received the 2013 Employee of the Year Award from the park board.
The board each year chooses an employee who has impacted the overall operation of the park district and this year determined that Badagliacco’s customer service practices deserved to be recognized.
Badagliacco, a gym supervisor, was nominated eight times during the year by people who rented Raday Lodge or the Don Preston Recreation Center. Each renter called to say that Badagliacco was helpful and attentive during their party.
“It is rare that people take time to call after a party to compliment the staff. The fact that eight customers took the time to call and mention Dave’s work certainly deserves recognition,” board President Mike Kohlstedt said.
Badagliacco began working for the Midlothian Park District in 2009. He is a graduate of Bremen High School and South Suburban College, where he majored in law enforcement.
