Matteson, Park Forest police blotter

MATTESON

THEFT: Four tires and rims were stolen July 24 from a 2013 Nissan Altima at Hawkinson Nissan, 5515 Miller Circle Drive.

THEFT: A package containing 250 T-shirts, printed with the slogan “A Taste of Victory,” was stolen July 26 from the front of a house in the 6300 block of Michael Lane.

THEFT: A hot water heater and a water meter were stolen July 27 from a vacant house in the 21100 block of Kildare Avenue.

BATTERY: David Smith, 22, 57 Willow Road, Matteson, was charged with battery after attacking an employee of Chipotle Mexican Grill on Aug. 2 outside the restaurant, 4801 W. U.S. 30, police said.

DUI ARREST: Marshall Rollins, 26, 14507 Sangamon St., Harvey, was charged with drunken driving, speeding, improper lane use and no insurance after an Aug. 4 stop at Cicero Avenue and U.S. 30, police said.

THEFT: A wallet with $300 cash was stolen Aug. 5 from a customer at the self-checkout kiosk at Wal-Mart, 21410 Cicero Ave.

PARK FOREST

HOME BURGLARY: A television and video game system were taken Aug. 2 from a home in the 100 block of Lester Road.

GUN THREAT: The owner of New Stop and Shop, 2560 Western Ave., told police a man in a black sedan pointed a handgun at him Aug. 2 after he confronted two of the car’s passengers for stealing alcohol from his store.

HOME BURGLARY: A television, video game system and a computer were stolen Aug. 5 from a house in the 22000 block of Central Park Avenue.

DRUG ARREST: Jonathan Williams, 26, 849 Purdue Lane, Matteson, was charged with illegal possession of prescription drugs and obstructing identification after he tried to fill a phony prescription for painkillers Aug. 6 at Walgreens, 15 S. Orchard Drive, police said.
