Midlothian, Oak Forest police blotter

ARSON: A fire was deliberately started Oct. 28 inside a vacant building, 14500 Cicero Ave., that is owned by the village of Midlothian. The building is on the south lot of the old Chrysler dealership property, police said.
POT POSSESSION: Rene Figueroa-Ramirez, 24, 6656 W. 112th St., Worth, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving without headlights after an Oct. 30 stop in the 14500 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.
BURGLARY: Various tools, including a miter saw, were stolen Oct. 28 or 29 from the garage in the 5600 block of Jessica Drive.
TIRES THEFT: A truck driver from South Carolina told police someone stole two rear wheels of the semi-trailer truck she was driving after she parked it overnight Oct. 29 at the Best Western hotel, 4375 Frontage Road.
BATTERY: Jesus Tirado, 45, 5110 W. 159th St., Oak Forest, was charged with battery, criminal damage to property and driving on a suspended license after fighting another man on his block Oct. 30 and purposely striking the man’s car with his car.
CAR BURGLARY: House keys, an iPod and other items were stolen Nov. 2 from a car after it was towed to the 15400 block of Cicero Avenue.
