Students in Liz Grigas’ second-grade class at the Fierke Education Center in Oak Forest recently wore purple clothing and cowboy or cowgirl boots in remembrance of their “forever” classmate, Bailee Zaker, who died in October.

Purple was Bailee’s favorite color and she loved to wear her cowgirl boots.

Jan. 23 would have been Bailee’s eighth birthday.
