LaTondra Brooks, of Oak Lawn, is this week’s Beggars Pizza/SouthtownStar Girls Basketball Player of the Week.
Brooks, a sophomore guard, scored 24 points, including eight in overtime, and added 10 rebounds and five steals in a 67-60 victory over Chicago Christian. In a 57-50 win over Eisenhower, she had 14 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and eight steals.
