BASEBALL

BASKETBALL
Oak Lawn: Richards High School and boys basketball coach John Chappetto will host a basketball camp for boys in grades three to eight from 10 to 11:30 a.m. June 25 to 28 at Richards High School, 10601 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn. Fee: $40. Information: John Chappetto, (708) 499-2550, Ext. 5340.

Oak Lawn: The Oak Lawn basketball camp will be held from June 4 to 8 at Oak Lawn Community High School and is open to kids in fourth to ninth grades. Fourth to sixth graders will participate daily from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and seventh to ninth graders will be between 12:30 and 4 p.m. A national shooting instructor will also hold a shooting clinic June 5 open to boys and girls in grades four to 12. Fee: $60 before Tuesday, $65 after for Oak Lawn camp (includes T-shirt, shooting strap, DVD and practice manual); $45 before Tuesday, $50 after for shooting clinic. Chicago: St. Xavier University and women’s basketball coach Bob Hallberg will host its annual two-session camp for girls ages 7 to 15. The first session will run from June 11 to 15 and the second session from June 18 to 22. Both sessions will run daily from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at St. Xavier’s Shannon Center. FOOTBALL
Oak Lawn: Richards High School and football coach Tony Sheehan will host the third annual Little Bulldogs camp for kids ages 6 to 13 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Richards High School, 10601 S. SOCCER
Oak Lawn: Oak Lawn Park District’s girls indoor soccer league is forming. Teams will play against local high school and club indoor teams. Fee: $775 for teams with 51 percent or more Oak Lawn residents, $795 for 50 percent or fewer Oak Lawn residents. Information: (708) 857-2420.
SWIMMING
Oak Lawn: Oak Lawn Community High School will offer summer swim lessons in two sessions: from June 4 to 14 and from June 18 to 28. Classes will be offered from 9 to 9:45 a.m., 10 to 10:45 a.m. and 11 to 11:45 a.m. Mondays to Thursdays. Final registration is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Oak Lawn Community High School. TRACK AND FIELD
Southland: The Worth Park District and the village of Palos Heights will host the Hersey Track and Field competition at 6 p.m. Thursday at Chicago Christian High School, Route 83 and Oak Park Avenue, Palos Heights. The event is open to boys and girls ages 9 to 14. Events will include the 50, 100, 200, 400 and 800 meter dashes, standing long jump and the softball throw. Relay teams of four people can also compete in the 400 and 800 meter relays.
