KOC members hike for charity

Father Perez Knights of Columbus Council 1444 members Joe McGovern, John Curtin and John Donovan were among the more than 11,400 individuals from the Archdiocese of Chicago and other concerned organizations who participated in the annual Hunger Walk to support food depositories in the area.

McGovern, Curtin an Donovan hiked under the banner of the John F. Kennedy Division 59 of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Chicago along with Dianne Donovan, Martin Moran, Kevin Gill and his daughter, Shannon.

The division raised funds for the St. Blase pantry, where the division provides volunteers and financial contributions for feeding the poor.

The hike started at Soldier Field and progressed along the lakefront and past McCormick Place before returning to Soldier Field for prayer and celebration.
