The Alsip-based nonprofit organization Sertoma Centre, Inc. recently named Regina Robinson as its special events and grants manager.

Robinson will be responsible for the planning and execution of all special events. She also will oversee grant writing and foundation relations for Sertoma Centre.

Robinson has more than 10 years of strategic planning, program analysis, program development, strategic marketing and communications experience. In her most recent roles, she served as the chief operating officer at the Growth Coach in Chicago, and as director of programs for the Maternal, Child and Family Health Coalition in St. Louis.

Robinson has a bachelor’s of science degree in journalism from Northwestern University in Evanston, and a master of social work degree from Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis.

“After a few experiences as a volunteer with Sertoma, I realized what a fantastic organization it is,” Robinson said. “I’ve worked in both the program and planning sides of social services and health care, so I was thrilled to find an agency with such a strong dedication to quality, innovative programs and a genuine commitment to empowering individuals.”

“We are pleased to welcome Regina to our team,” said Amy Chmura, Sertoma’s director of advancement and communications. “Her expertise in social services, writing and event planning will allow us to raise additional funds and awareness for Sertoma Centre.”

Sertoma Centre, Inc. is a nonprofit agency that provides services to nearly 700 individuals with developmental, physical and emotional disabilities, and/or mental illness

Information: Chmura, (708) 730-6206 or achmura@sertomacentre.org.
