Campus (North) for Sept. 23, 2012

Here is a look at what Southlanders are accomplishing in college.

News from the SouthtownStar’s North region includes Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park, Bridgeview, Alsip, Hickory Hills, Burbank, Worth, Justice, Palos Heights and Palos Park.

Prairie State College

Ashley N. Sutton, of Oak Lawn, has been named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at Prairie State College in Chicago Heights.

Creighton University

Martin Kyler, of Evergreen Park, will be part of the freshman class at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. Kyler is a graduate of Brother Rice High School in Chicago.

University of Wisconsin-Parkside

Ashley Nowdomski, of Oak Lawn, has been named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in Kenosha, Wis.

Ashland University

Dan Piko, of Oak Lawn, is majoring in physical education and is a member of the football team at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. Piko is a 2010 graduate of Marist High School in Chicago.

National University of Health Sciences

Effie Gatsinos, of Oak Lawn; and Mahmoud Lotfi, of Bridgeview; has each received a doctor of chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Ill.

Lewis University

Several area students have been named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at Lewis University in Romeoville.
