There’s just something about a superhero.
Maybe it’s the costume he or she wears, or perhaps it’s the magical powers he or she seems to possess.
Whatever the reason, superhero costumes were all the rave recently Sorrick School in Palos Hills.
Sure, there were some police officers and firefighters, and even some princesses and witches. But it seemed like there were plenty of superheroes to save the entire North Palos School District 117 from any evil.
Students, most of whom wore costumes, made the short walk through the hallway from Sorrick School to the district administrative offices, where they were met by Supt. Jeannie Stachowiak, who offered the kids a piece of candy from a giant bowl she was holding.
