Queen of Peace High School in Burbank recently announced the appointment of its student ambassadors to the annual Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Conference at Loyola University of Chicago in July.
Sophomore Jennifer Sandoval will represent the school, and sophomore Lauryn Walker will serve as alternate. The girls were nominated by Queen of Peace staff members and submitted applications illustrating their positive leadership skills to achieve acceptance in the program.
Queen of Peace High School will support the HOBY ambassador by covering all expenses.
The weeklong conference includes interactive educational sessions, collaborative workshops, leadership exercises, community service projects and individualized training. Students will interact with leaders from the worlds of business, government, international affairs, science and technology; medicine, media and education.
