MetroSouth begins Senior Circle program

The new Senior Circle program at MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island kicked off recently with a gala event at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Alsip.
The Senior Circle program offers adults age 50 and older discounts, activities, exercise and wellness classes; a chapter newsletter and national publication subscription; and in-hospital privileges.
More than 350 attended the dinner, which included a keynote address by Dr. Rajesh Iyengar, a board-certified geriatrician and family medicine physician.
Other guests included Blue Island Mayor Donald Peloquin, Cook County Commissioner Joan Murphy, state Rep. Robert Rita (D-Blue Island), Posen Mayor Donald Schupek, Blue Island Treasurer Carmen Bilotto and Blue Island Ald. Letty Vieyra (2nd).
During the event, close to 100 community members joined the new Senior Circle chapter.
