Brianna Markusic, of Oak Lawn, is this week’s Beggars Pizza/SouthtownStar Girls Basketball Player of the Week.
Markusic, a sophomore forward, totaled 13 points and eight rebounds in a victory over Chicago Christian and added 18 points and 13 rebounds as the Spartans continued their march to the South Suburban Red title with a win over Eisenhower.
