Donald Burns, a resident of Palos Heights and owner of GDS Garage Door Supplies in Bedford Park, sponsored a burger competition on Feb. 16 at At the Office in Crestwood.
Three of his employees — Jesse “The Garbage Disposal” Zaragoza, of Joliet; Bob “The Bottomless Pit” Witkowski, of Elmwood Park; and Omar “The Big Bear” Tellez, of Chicago, competed by each eating a 3-pound Angus burger, loads of fries and a 24-ounce soda.
They had 60 minutes to see who could finish first.
Burns said he wanted to gather all his employees and their families to come out and have some fun together outside the office. Although no one was able to actually finish, a great time and great food was had by all, officials said.
