Moraine offers tutoring for youths

Average students who need some assistance catching up or keeping up on their schoolwork can get it in a tutoring class at Moraine Valley Community College, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.

Classes are one hour after school for eight weeks starting March 26. The class fee is $120.

Classes have a limit of 12 students, each of whom should bring their schoolbook for the subject in which they are being tutored. The classes are:

Algebra for grades seven and eight, 4 to 5 p.m. Thursdays in Room A121.

Geometry for high school freshmen and sophomores, 4 to 5 p.m. Thursdays in A133.

Reading and vocabulary for third- and fourth-graders, 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays in A121.

Reading and vocabulary for fifth- and sixth-graders, 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays in A143.

Reading and vocabulary for seventh- and eighth-graders, 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays in A141.

Spelling and punctuation for seventh- and eighth-graders, 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays in A182.

Spelling and punctuation for high school freshmen and sophomores, 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays in A172.
