What St. Patrick’s Day would be complete without a visit from a leprechaun?
Dorn Elementary School students in Hickory Hills recently set up homemade “traps” and followed glittery shamrock trails and green footprints around the school in hopes of finding the elusive leprechaun or his pot of gold.
While no one was fortunate enough to see or catch the diminutive visitor, students were lucky enough to participate in several activities throughout the day.
Some students drank Green River floats and snacked on “gold coins” made of chocolate while others made St. Patrick’s Day-themed crafts.
