Chicago Ridge, Oak Lawn police blotter

CHICAGO RIDGE

RETAIL THEFT: Charles R. Payne, 50, 3806 S. Parnell Ave., Chicago, was charged with retail theft after stealing copper fittings worth $919 on May 13 from Home Depot, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Mohommad Abousalem, 18, of 6440 W. 84th St., and Yaseen Ghouleh, 18, 6415 W. 84th St., both of Burbank, was charged with retail theft after they stole goods May 13 from Kohl’s at Chicago Ridge Mall, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: A 13-year-old boy was charged with retail theft after he stole a cellphone May 17 from Sears at Chicago Ridge Mall, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Maria Arroyo, 25, 4807 S. Racine Ave., Chicago, was charged with retail theft after stealing $720 worth of clothing May 18 from Kohl’s at Chicago Ridge Mall, police said.

OAK LAWN

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Ali Alkhatib, 26, 7004 W. 99th St., Chicago Ridge, was charged with disorderly conduct May 7 after causing a disturbance in the emergency room of Christ Medical Center, 4440 W. 95th St., police said.

DUI CHARGE: Steven W. Casper, 44, of Burr Ridge, was charged with drunken driving and speeding May 9 after a stop at 95th Street and Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

DRUG ARREST: Muhammad Qandil, 18, 8701 Oak Park Ave., Oak Lawn, was charged with sale and possession of a controlled substance after selling synthetic cannabinoids to a police informant May 10 at a gas station in the 6800 block of 87th Street, where he was a clerk, police said. They said a subsequent search of the station revealed 15 packets of the drug.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Patricia Kilcran, 42, 5810 W. 107th Court Way, Chicago Ridge, was charged with driving on a suspended license and suspended registration after a stop May 11 at 103rd Street and Cook Avenue, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: James Radloff, 35, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after stealing items May 11 from Freshline Foods, 5355 W. 95th St., police said.

POT POSSESSION: Amanda Mazurek, 32, 7718 Lavergne Ave., Burbank, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license and no insurance following a May 11 stop at 95th Street and Melvina Avenue, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: India McCain, 23, of Aurora, was charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance after being stopped May 11 at 95th Street and Kolin Avenue, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Nafis Muhammad, 40, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license May 12 after a stop at 91st Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Bernard Dabney, 47, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft May 12 after stealing items from Jewel-Osco, 9424 Pulaski Road, police said.

REVOKED LICENSE: Shawn P. Geraghty, 35, 10048 Pulaski Road, Oak Lawn, was charged with driving on a revoked license, speeding, no insurance and illegal transportation of alcohol after a stop May 12 in the 4200 block of 99th Street, police said.

PURLOINED PURSE: A purse containing $700 cash was stolen May 13 from a car in the lot of LA Fitness, 8812 Cicero Ave.

MARIJUANA CHARGE: Denzel Scullark, 19, of Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana after he was stopped May 13 at 95th Street and Melvina Avenue, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Larry F. Shelton, 42, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after stealing merchandise May 13 from Home Depot, 4060 W. 95th St., police said. They said he also was arrested on a DuPage County warrant.

POT POSSESSION: Majdi Razick, 21, 10241 Central Ave., Oak Lawn, was charged with possession of marijuana May 14 following a stop in the 5200 block of 103rd Street, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Justin E. Hill, 22, 9517 Utica Ave., Evergreen Park, was charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance after a May 15 stop at 95th Street and Oak Park Avenue, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Joseph Rotkis, 56, 9000 Ridgeland Ave., Oak Lawn, was charged with retail theft and assault May 15 after stealing food from Freshline Foods, 5355 W. 95th St., police said. They said the store manager attempted to stop Rotkis, who said he had a black belt in martial arts and threatened the manager.

BURGLARY: Approximately $1,200 worth of hand tools were stolen May 15 from a garage in the 5900 block of 99th Street.

RETAIL THEFT: Abraham Arteaga, 28, of Chicago, was charged with retail theft after stealing $1,100 worth of merchandise May 15 from Home Depot, 4060 W. 95th St., police said. They said he also was charged with possession of a hypodermic needle.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Ramon Solis, 41, 9219 S. 52nd Ave., Oak Lawn, was charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing after he was arrested May 16 in the 5200 block of Cass Street, police said. They said Solis was intoxicated, entered a resident’s backyard with a tire iron and refused to leave.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Dorra M. Jones, 52, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance May 16 after being stopped at 95th Street and Major Avenue, police said.

LICENSE SUSPENDED: Cynthia Ceballos, 21, of Chicago, was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance, following too closely and speeding after a stop May 16 at Southwest Highway and Massasoit Avenue, police said.

DUI ARREST: Richard M. Rigley, 49, of Burr Ridge, was charged with drunken driving and speeding after a May 17 stop at 95th Street and Harlem Avenue, police said.
