Firm updates technology

MJ & S Transportation of Oak Lawn, a non-emergency medical transportation company focused on taking people to local medical appointments, recently took advantage of AT&T technology to improve its efficiency, according to a news release.

The technology — Enhanced Push to Talk and Xora StreetSmart Workforce — allows MJ&S to see the exact location of vehicles and with real time traffic information help dispatchers reroute drivers as needed. Passengers also can be updated as to departure and arrival times, according to an AT&T spokesman. The dispatches can be delivered in short, audible messages to drivers at times when a phone call or text is not advisable.
