Future accountants, social workers and international liaisons worked in summer at Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123.
More than 20 former District 123 students returned to help prepare and beautify the buildings before school reopens in August.
Even some of the district’s own full-time district maintenance and custodial staff are former students.
