What do you like about Chicago Ridge?
“I like the small-town feeling. You can go anywhere and run into somebody you know. I like how they take care of the residents. I’ve been here since the fourth grade and I love it.”
What would you do if you were mayor for a day?
“I would try to get more businesses back and get rid of those tax breaks. Why do they get all the tax breaks while the people don’t?”
What’s your prized possession?
“My family. I have two sons and three grandchildren — 9, 4 and three months. We just had our first little girl. I have a dress for a doll my mom made, so she has a wedding dress for a doll made by her great-grandmother. I put it aside and cried my eyes out.”
What’s the last movie you saw?
“I took the boys to see ‘Monsters University’ in 3-D. It was awesome and it had a really cute message about teamwork. It was nice for the 4-year-old to see that.”
What one person from history do you want to meet?
“Jesus because I’m in awe. I don’t think I’d have to ask Him anything. I could just be in His presence and that would be enough for me. I’d also like to meet Mother Mary.”
