Moraine Valley offers new culinary classes

Moraine Valley Community College will offer three new noncredit culinary classes.

Each one-day class will be held on a Tuesday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the cooking lab on campus in the Moraine Business and Conference Center, Building M, 9000 W. College Parkway, Palos Hills.

Basic Knife Skills will be held Sept. 17. The class will introduce students to the basics of knife skills, prep and maintenance. The fee is $89.

Soups, A Winter Must will be held Oct. 15. The class will teach basic stocks for hot and cold soups. The fee is $74.

How to Bake an Apple Pie will be held Nov. 19. The fee is $74.

Supplies are included in the fee.

To register online, visit morainevalley.edu and select “Register for Noncredit Classes” under “Academic Focus” and then “Search, register and pay for noncredit classes.”
