The Chicago Ridge Public Library, 10400 Oxford Ave., will host the following programs in the coming weeks:
Digital photos with Picasa
At 6:30 p.m. Nov. 4, participants can learn how to use the free photo-sharing and editing program Picasa. The program is an image organizer, viewer and editor for digital photos. Picasa can be downloaded for free at picasa.google.com. How to download photos from a digital camera to a computer also will be discussed. The program is free but registration is required.
International Gaming Day
From 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 16, the library will take part in the 6th International Gaming Day. The youth services department will be offering a variety of video games, board games, puzzles and more for families to play. Visitors can join in the International Mario Kart Time Trials and race against friends and the world to see who has the fastest time on the track. One board game will be raffled each hour on the hour. Seven winners will be chosen.
