The Center, at 12700 Southwest Highway, Palos Park, has a number of upcoming programs to offer.

A six-week stained glass class with Harry Meneghini will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursdays beginning Nov. 7. The class costs $84. A list of supplies needed will be distributed the first day of class. Advance registration is required.

New six-week classes for children and teens will be held beginning in November as well.

Children’s art classes will be held at 9 and 10:30 a.m. beginning Nov. 9. Teen pottery classes will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 11.

Class fees are $72 for children’s art and $78 for teen pottery. The fee covers all supplies for each six-week session. Scholarships from the Brighton Collectibles store in Orland Park are available based on financial need. Advance registration is required.

The art of painting with pastels will be featured at a luncheon program from noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 5. The luncheon cost is $17 per person. Advanced registration is required. For more information, call (708) 361-3650.

The Center will host a pottery class for families and adults from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6 and 13. Instructor Heather Young will teach families with children of any age and adults to make clay cornucopias on Nov. 6 and to glaze their creations on Nov. 13. The class fee is $16 per person and includes all supplies and two kiln firings. An advance reservation is required.

New five-week holiday sessions of Junior Farmers classes will be held for ages 3 to 12 starting on Dec. 9, 10, 11 and 13. An early December highlight of the program is the live nativity pageant in which all of the children participate. Dressed as shepherds, leading sheep and goats to the manger, the children join their classmates who are dressed as angels and Mary and Joseph. The Christmas scripture is read, and carols are sung around the manger.

Junior Farmers classes meet one hour each week. Classes are available for children ages 3 to 6 at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and at 10 and 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

Classes for ages 6 to 8 meet at 2 p.m. Saturdays. Classes for ages 6 to 12 meet at 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Classes for ages 9 to 12 meet at 3:30 p.m. Saturdays.

The cost of the five-week program is $60.

Advance registration is required for all classes. To register, call (708) 361-3650 or visit The Center.
