Orland Park: Illinois Sparks Baseball will host its 3rd Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony “Celebrating Our Past ... Southland: The Satchel Paige All-Stars Travel Baseball Team is looking for youth baseball players in age groups 13 to 14, 15 to 16 and 17 to 18 that would like to be a part of its 2012 Summer Travel Baseball Team that will include trips to Cincinnati, Omaha, Orlando and Puerto Rico. BASKETBALL
Frankfort: A Chicago Bulls Skill Camp will be held for kids in two age groups: first to fourth grade and fifth to eighth grade, Thursdays from March 15 to April 5 at Grand Prairie School, 10480 Nebraska St., Frankfort. Instruction will be given in ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding and offensive and defensive team play. All instructors have learned directly from Chicago Bulls coaches. Orland Hills: The village of Orland Hills is hosting a youth March Madness Tournament. A fifth to sixth grade tournament will be held March 3 and a seventh to eighth grade tournament March 4, at Orland Hills Community Center, 16553 S. Harlem Ave. Each team will play three games. Orland Park: The Bulls/Sox Academy will host two Chicago Bulls Basketball Camps at the Orland Park Sportsplex, 11351 W. 159th St. The camps will run Tuesday nights beginning Feb. 7. The Chicago Bulls FUNdamentals Camp, a four-week camp designed to teach players the latest techniques in ball handling, passing, shooting, footwork and rebounding as well as offensive and defensive team play, is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 14. The Chicago Bulls Advanced Skills and Drills, a four week camp for the premier/elite player, will teach advanced techniques. This camp is open to boys and girls ages 11-17. BOWLING
Frankfort: The Frankfort Park District will offer bowling lessons Mondays from Feb. 27 to April 2 at Thunder Bowl, 18700 S. Old LaGrange Road, Mokena. For ages six and older. Each lesson will include game time, shoes and instruction from qualified staff members at Thunder Bowl. Pizza and pop will be served on the last day of class. Fee: $45. FOOTBALL
Southland: Bo Jackson Elite Sports, 17130 S. Prime Blvd,, Lockport, is offering new 7-on-7 instructional football leagues. The program runs on Sundays for seven weeks and is split into two divisions of fifth and sixth graders and seventh and eighth graders. The second session runs April 15 to May 28. The format of the program is 30 minutes of speed and agility training, 30 minutes of position specific offensive training, 30 minutes of position specific defensive training, and a 60-minute instructional 7-on-7 game. Frankfort: Chicago Bears Youth Football Camp will be held July 9 to 13 at Hallmark Sports Club, 10850 W. Laraway Road, Frankfort. YOUTH SPORTS
Frankfort: The Frankfort Park District will host a “Parent-Tot Sports Mania” program Fridays from Feb. 10 to March 9 at Founders Community Center, 140 Oak St., Frankfort. Childen ages 2 to 4, with a parent, will be able to shoot hoops, score a soccer goal, hit a baseball off a tee, or just run around like a toddler. Parachute games will also be introduced.
