HOMER GLEN
VEHICLE BURGLARY: A flashlight was stolen Jan. 10 from a vehicle in the 14000 block of Mallard Lane.
VEHICLE BURGLARY: A GPS unit was stolen Jan. 10 from a vehicle in the 14000 block of Oak Ridge Drive.
NO LICENSE: Jose L. Rocha, 24, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid license and without registration after a Jan. 11 stop at Bell Road and Essex Drive, police said.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: Tiffani A. Johnson, 20, 2025 Jackson Branch Drive, New Lenox, was charged with driving on a suspended license, no insurance and not reducing speed to avoid an accident after a Jan. 12 accident at 159th Street and South Bell Road, police said.
ORLAND PARK
EMPLOYEE THEFT: Kyle Rutkoski, 21, 18130 Breckinridge Blvd., Orland Park, was charged with theft after stealing 17 gift cards while employed as a cashier at Best Buy, 15854 LaGrange Road, between Dec. 20 and 22, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Two men and a group of juveniles have been charged with retail theft after stealing five jackets and a hat worth about $800 on Dec. 21 from Dick’s Sporting Goods at Orland Park Place mall. Charged with theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor were Johquese Walker, 22, 5749 Seeley Ave., Chicago and Clarence Patterson, 22, 6119 Damen Ave., Chicago, police said. Six juveniles were also charged with retail theft.
DUI ARREST: Kreshnik Rysha, 19, 7400 111th St., 109, Worth, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane use and no front license plate after a Dec. 28 stop in the 14600 block of Wolf Road, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Robyn Johnson, 25, 10925 Normandy Ave., Worth, was charged with retail theft after stealing $468 worth of teeth whitening strips and allergy medicine Dec. 30 from Jewel-Osco, 9350 159th St., police said.
DUI CHARGE: Amy Jordan, 26, of Joliet, was charged with drunken driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane use and no insurance after a Dec. 31 stop in the 15900 block of 80th Avenue, police said.
DUI CASE: Dayna Wilkerson, 23, of Huntley, Ill., was charged with drunken driving, running a red light, illegal transportation of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia after a stop Jan. 1 in the 15400 block of LaGrange Road, police said.
FORGERY: Brandon Lewis, 22, 14802 Evers St., Dolton, was charged with forgery and identity theft after using a Waukegan man’s information to buy an iPad Jan. 1 at Best Buy, 15854 LaGrange Road, police said. The victim told police that a bank representative had informed him that someone had been using his information throughout the Chicago area to defraud him of about $40,000.
POT POSSESSION: Donald Betz, 18, 8255 W. 161st Place, Tinley Park, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after being stopped Jan. 3 on Orland Square Drive, police said.
DRUG CHARGES: Martin Pawlak, 22, 13585 88th Ave., Orland Park, was charged with illegal possession of prescription drugs after police found 11 Vicodin pills during a Jan. 3 stop in the 13600 block of 86th Avenue, police said. They said Riannon Lange, 23, 13242 Oak Ridge Trail, 2A, Palos Heights, was charged with possession of marijuana during the same stop.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Anthony Simmons, 52, 15060 Hale Drive, Orland Park, was charged with domestic battery after a Jan. 4 incident at his home, police said.
HIT-AND-RUN: Nicholas Fountas, 19, 14141 Trenton Drive, Orland Park, was charged with hit-and-run, reckless driving, failure to give information, possession of marijuana and no insurance after crashing into a light pole Jan. 5 in the 9200 block of 138th Street and leaving the scene, police said. They said Fountas turned himself into police later that day.
CREDIT FRAUD: Jasmine Williams, 22, 6901 Prairie Ave., Chicago, was charged with unlawful use of a credit card, disobeying a traffic signal, driving without a valid license and no insurance after using credit belonging to a North Carolina woman to purchase electronics Jan. 5 at Best Buy, 15854 LaGrange Road, police said.
DRUG ARRESTS: Amanda Bennett, 22, 13723 Lincolnshire Drive, Orland Park, was charged with selling marijuana and speeding after a stop Jan. 6 in the 10600 block of 143rd Street, police said. They said Nicholas McHenry, 23, 15127 Crescent Green Lane, Oak Forest, was charged with possession of psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana and drug paraphernalia during the same stop.
MARIJUANA CHARGE: Yassin Waheeb, 22, 15110 Huntington Court, Orland Park, was charged with possession of marijuana and driving with one headlight after a Jan. 7 stop in the 9900 block of 151st Street, police said.
DUI ARREST: Philip Baudo, 24, of Plano, was charged with drunken driving after a Jan. 8 stop in the 10500 block of 159th Street, police said.
BATTERY: Richard Gorman, 22, 2456 York, Blue Island, and Charles Timms, 20, 17740 Sayre Ave., Tinley Park, were charged with battery and disorderly conduct following a Jan. 9 fight involving 10 to 15 people outside the Macy’s entrance at Orland Square Mall, police said.
THEFT: Five Chicago residents were charged with theft after police found stolen merchandise from Aeropostle and Gilly Hicks during a Jan. 10 stop in the parking lot of Orland Square Mall, police said. Charged were Shaquita Triplett, 23, 5017 S. Aberdeen; Anthony Polk, 24, 1516 W. 71st St.; and Paris Triplett, Rickima Buckley, 19, and Nakiesha Nawls, 18, all of 5016 S. Aberdeen, according to police.
FORGERY: Sa Quita Jones, 29, 419 Maple Drive, Glenwood, was charged with forgery, possession of a fraudulent ID card and obstructing identification after using someone else’s bank information to buy electronics Jan. 11 at Best Buy, 15854 LaGrange Road, police said.
DUI CHARGE: Faryad Rezazdeh, 45, 920 Oakley Blvd., Chicago, was charged with drunken driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no insurance and having expired registration after crashing his truck Jan. 13 into a car in the 15200 block of LaGrange Road, police said.
DUI CASE: Carolyn Booth, 41, 2067 Sibley Blvd., Calumet City, was charged with drunken driving, no insurance, disobeying a traffic signal and improper lane use after a stop Jan. 14 in the 15100 block of Wolf Road, police said.
POT POSSESSION: Jeremy Leonard, 19, of Romeoville, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and having expired registration after a Jan. 14 stop on 143rd Street, police said.
DUI ALLEGED: Eric Beran, 21, 14720 Central Ave., Oak Forest, was charged with drunken driving and improper lane use after being stopped Jan. 14 in the 9100 block of 159th Street, police said.
