Orland Township has selected Homer Glen resident Casey Barczyk, a professor of human resources management at Purdue University Calumet, as its May Volunteer of the Month, a recognition program that honors people who donate their time to township services and programs.
Barczyk has been a resume consultant for several of the township’s job fairs and has led seminars on resume building and interviewing skills.
“We are truly thankful for all that Casey has done for Orland Township. He is one of our most influential volunteers that we have,” said Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady.
“He has had such a positive impact on our residents who are in need of work. We’ve received very sincere and positive feedback on every program and event that he has been involved with, and I hope to continue our relationship with Casey in the future.”
Barczyk said he enjoys traveling the globe and has visited such locales as the Canary Islands, Turkey and many European destinations. He also said he enjoys photography, bicycling and eating.
