HOMER GLEN
ATTEMPTED THEFT: Someone tried to break into an ATM machine May 7 at PNC Bank, 13159 W. 143rd St.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: Someone tried to break into a house May 9 in the 15000 block of 163rd Street.
NO LICENSE: Ramon Calderon Carmona, 44, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid license and speeding after a May 10 stop at Iroquois Street and Parker Road, police said.
ORLAND PARK
BATTERY: Nicholas Kotiw, 19, 8102 W. 174th Place, Tinley Park, was charged with unlawful use of weapons and possession of drug equipment after police found metal knuckles in his car while investigating a fight that occurred April 30 during a drug transaction on Wood Duck Lane, police said.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: Jeffrey King, 27, 14500 Golf Road, Orland Park, was charged with domestic battery, criminal damage to property, aggravated assault and simple assault after a May 2 incident at his home, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Barbara Cygal, 48, 9818 Mill Drive, E1, Palos Park, was charged with retail theft after stealing merchandise May 3 from Macy’s at Orland Square Mall, police said.
MARIJUANA CHARGE: Abdel Ramahi, 22, 15510 Peachtree Drive, Orland Park, was charged with possession of marijuana after being stopped May 4 in the 14300 block of LaGrange Road, police said.
DUI ARREST: Deborah Matyasec, 60, of Darien, was charged with drunken driving, no insurance and driving on the wrong side of the road after a May 4 stop on 143rd Street, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Brittany Abrons, 19, of Michigan City, Ind., was charged with retail theft after stealing $272 worth of merchandise May 5 from Carson Pirie Scott at Orland Square Mall, police said.
POT POSSESSION: Nicholas Iorfida, 20, of Riverside, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving with only one taillight after a stop May 6 in the 14100 block of LaGrange Road, police said. They said also charged in the stop were Christian Acosta, 20, of Westmont, with underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Nicholas O’Connell, 20, of Willowbrook, with underage drinking.
RETAIL THEFT: Robert Goodman, 44, and Charlotte Goodman, 42, both of 14139 Western Ave., Blue Island, were charged with retail theft after stealing $324 worth of men’s shirts and shorts May 6 from Express at Orland Square Mall, police said.
COKE CHARGE: Jose Rosales, 30, of Cicero, was charged with possession of cocaine after he was stopped May 6 in the 8800 block of 143rd Street, police said.
DOMESTIC BATTERY: John Benz, 21, 15513 Harbor Town Drive, Orland Park, was charged with domestic battery after a May 6 incident at his home, police said.
DRUG ARREST: Jercory Spell, 31, of 7154 S. Hermitage, Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana, failure to wear a seat belt and no insurance after a May 11 stop in the 9800 block of 153rd Street, police said.
