Frozen yogurt and smoothie chain Red Mango is coming to Orland Park later this summer.
Franchisees Jeff and Trisha Fendt have signed development agreements to open a store at 31 Orland Square Drive, near Orland Square Mall, Texas-based Red Mango said in a news release issued Friday. The store would open by late July or early August.
The Fendts also have Red Mango outlets in LaGrange and Chicago.
Red Mango said it was named the No. 1 smoothie and frozen yogurt chain in America in Zagat’s 2011 National Chain Restaurants survey. Shops offer more than 50 flavors of frozen yogurt, including Classic Peanut Butter, White Peach and Dark Chocolate.
The company has more than 180 locations in North America. More information about the company is available at www.redmangousa.com.
The Orland store will be in The Shops of Orland Square, between Half-Price Books and Colorific, according to real estate services firm CBRE, which handles leasing for the building and says the retail center will be fully occupied once Red Mango opens its doors. Qdoba Mexican Grill is also in that center.
