Five Lockport Township High School District 205 families are a bit richer after winning a cash raffle sponsored by the district’s foundation, which awarded more than $2,400 to several families that participated in the raffle.
Winners include Brenda and Richard Studer, of Lockport; Karen Rivera, of Homer Glen; and Laura Pawlak, of Homer Glen. Anna Stimac, the student who sold the winning ticket, also won $50 for participating.
Each year, the foundation hosts a cash raffle to provide funds for non-budgeted educational needs. This year, the foundation has committed funds raised by its cash raffle to be used towards technology needs in the classroom.
“The continued success of LTHS students relies largely on dedicated leaders providing cutting-edge technology to give students a competitive advantage in higher learning institutions and in the workforce,” said a district spokeswoman.
