Chicken Wild Inc. restaurant in Tinley Park recently donated enough chicken to feed 200 hungry guests during the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation’s Grand Reopening ceremony, which celebrated the charity’s recent move to its new headquarters at 15430 S. 70th Court, Orland Park.

The foundation is a nonprofit organization that gives toys, gifts and gift certificates to children and teens fighting cancer.

“The joy of life involves giving, and nothing satisfies the human soul more than knowing it helped a person in need,” Chicken Wild owner John Mihalos said.

“John’s gift definitely benefited children and teens fighting cancer by helping the Treasure Chest Foundation showcase our beautiful new facility,” said foundation CEO and founder Colleen Kisel. “I had a vision to host an open house, but knew I would need the support of many members of the local community. John Mihalos and Chicken Wild came through with enough food to make sure this event was a huge success.”
