Newly hired Lockport Township High School horticultural teacher Walker Soderborg, a Future Farmers of America advisor, recently attended an Illinois agriculture education workshop in Springfield.

The 39th annual workshop, sponsored by the Illinois Foundation FFA, was conducted by the Illinois Association of Vocational Agriculture Teachers to help new FFA advisors in Illinois learn more about their duties and responsibilities of FFA members throughout the state.

The theme for the workshop was “Growing Legacies.” Attendees had the opportunity to hear experienced agriculture teachers tell about their successful FFA programs and discuss their programs with them.
