Police said Wednesday they’ve charged an Orland Park man with disorderly conduct after he tried to lure two teenage girls on a Pace bus.
Orland Park police said Stephen Gecan, 56, of 8025 Braeburn Lane, has a Jan. 3 court date.
In a news release, police said they received a 911 call Sunday from an adult who reported that a man was harassing two 13-year-old girls on a bus that was headed to Orland Square Mall. The witness told police Gecan sat close to the girls, touched one on the shoulder, and offered the girls money to get off the bus with him, police said.
Gecan handed the girls a piece of paper with his first name and phone number, asking them to call him to talk, police said. Gecan was taken into custody inside a store in the 15600 block of South 94th Avenue, police said.
