More than 120 senior citizens of Lockport Township High School District 205 got a jump on the holiday season by participating in the annual Gold Card Turkey Dinner and Fall Play.
For a nominal fee, seniors were treated to a full traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner, including all the trimmings such as cranberries, stuffing and sweet potatoes.
After topping off the meal with a dessert of fresh brownies, the seniors moved to the East Campus Auditorium, where the district presented its fall play, “Antigone,” by Sophocles.
Gold Card members must be District 205 residents and at least 60 years old.
For more information on how to become a Gold Card member, which allows entry to most district events at no cost, email bherman@lths.org or call (815) 588-8121.
