Orland Park trustees have given tentative approval for a new McDonald’s near Wolf Road and 179th Street. At a committee meeting Monday, trustees recommended the full village board approve plans for the restaurant, 11111 W. 179th St., which would include a drive-through.
The developer would tear down an existing building that houses a Great Clips salon and formerly included a Blockbuster video store. That space now is vacant.
The village board could vote to approve the restaurant at its Dec. 3 meeting. McDonald’s has three other restaurants in Orland.
Zoom Prospector search tool launched
Orland Park has launched its Zoom Prospector online tool to better promote available commercial properties in the village.
Site-specific reports offer detailed demographic information and lists of nearby businesses. Zoom Prospector went online less than a month ago and already has resulted in more than 200 searches, according to village officials.
The database can be viewed at the village’s website, www.orland-park.il.us, by clicking on “Orland Park Sites,” or by visiting www.orlandparksites.com.
