Lewis University
Matthew Carlson, of Lockport, participated in the theater production “The Quick-Change Room” in charge of props at Lewis University in Romeoville.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
Andrew Bertinetti, of Tinley Park, was named to the fall 2012-13 quarter dean’s list at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Ind.
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Mona N. Kayali, of Orland Park, received a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
University of Tulsa
Michael Steffen, the son of Rosanna and Richard Steffen, of Homer Glen, received a National Science Foundation Doctoral Improvement Grant for his research into courtship pheromone evolution in dusky salamanders.
Steffen is a doctoral candidate in zoology at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma. He is a 2005 graduate of Lockport High School and a 2009 graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill.
University of Southern Mississippi
Ashley Lynn Havener Nappo, of Oak Forest, received a master’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss.
