Koch, 18, of Orland Park, is in her third season as an Eagles shortstop. She will attend St. Peter’s.
What does it mean to be an Eagle?
It means being part of a family. You can count on everyone to have your back at all times.
My sister (Brittany) played and I’d go to her games when I was 5. I remember in between games playing catch with my dad.
What opponent gets you the most pumped up to play?
Probably Lockport. We always wear our jerseys that day at school; we don’t do that for every game.
Give me a crazy softball memory.
We were in a big Oklahoma tournament on the NCAA College World Series field, and we played eight games in a row. I don’t think I could move at the end of that day.
What opposing player would you love to have as a teammate?
Alyssa Gunther, of Tinley Park. I’ve played with her (in club) since I was 9.
Does a teammate have a hidden talent we need to know about?
Sarah Herold is a good singer. She sings “R-E-S-P-E-C-T” really well.
Your dream celebrity prom date?
George Clooney. He’s just really good looking.
How long does it take you to get ready for school?
Thirty minutes on a good day. If I’m really tired, 45.
What’s in your lunch bag most of the time?
A salad, cottage cheese and usually fruit. My mom packs my lunch.
What do you do for fun at practice?
When we listen to music, I always air guitar when I’m waiting to hit.
Where do you see yourself in 10 year?
Hopefully, I’ll have a steady job being a dietician.
