Community Sports Calendar (Central) for June 16, 2013

BASEBALL

Frankfort: A Chicago White Sox summer camp, open to kids ages 5 to 11, will be held from June 24 to 28 at Main Park Field, 200 S. Locust St. Ages 5 and 6 will meet from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and ages 7 to 11 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Fees: $179 ages 5 and 6, $199 ages 7 to 11. Information: www.bullssoxacademy.com.

Lemont: A Chicago White Sox summer camp, open to kids ages 5 to 11, will be held from Monday to Friday at Centennial Park’s Quad Fields, 16028 127th St. Ages 5 and 6 will meet from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and ages 7 to 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. Fees: $179 ages 5 and 6, $199 ages 7 to 11. New Lenox: A Chicago White Sox summer camp, open to kids ages 5 to 11, will be held from Monday to Friday at Tyler/Bentley School, 511 E. Illinois Highway Ages 5 and 6 will meet from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and ages 7 to 11 from 1 to 4 p.m. Fees: $179 ages 5 and 6, $199 ages 7 to 11. Information: www.bullssoxacademy.com.

Southland: The Hegewisch 30-and-over Baseball Draft League is looking for individual players for the 2013 season. Experience preferred but not essential. Most games are played on Saturdays. Information: Andy Klein, (773) 646-0706.

BASKETBALL

Orland Hills: Cardinal Bernardin School will host boys and girls basketball camps, open to students entering grades two to eight in the fall. The camps will run from Monday to Thursday and June 24 to 27. Fees range from $50 to $110 depending on the camp. Tinley Park: Andrew High School’s boys basketball program will host a variety of boys summer camps. Camps for kids in grades four to eight will be held from Monday to June 27, with grades four to six meeting from 8 to 9 a.m. and grades seven and eight from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Fee: $100. Southland: St. Xavier University and men’s basketball coach Tom O’Malley will host a boys basketball camp, open to boys ages 9 to 15. The second session will be held at the Shannon Center on St. Xavier’s Chicago campus from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday to Thursday. Fee: $95 (includes T-shirt, SXU basketball and special awards). FOOTBALL

New Lenox: Providence Catholic High School and coach Mark Coglianese will host a pair of camps, open to kids in grades four to eight, from July 15 to 19. The fundamental camp will run from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and the 7-on-7 passing camp will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. Fees: $100 for fundamental camp only; $135 for both camps. VARIOUS SPORTS

New Lenox: Providence Catholic High School will host youth summer camps in many sports, including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, volleyball and wrestling. VOLLEYBALL

Orland Park: Registration is open for Attack Volleyball Club’s summer camps. A beach volleyball camp will be held from July 8 to 11 at Centennial Park and two skill camps will be held at the Orland Park Sportsplex, 11351 W. 159th St.: one from July 15 to 19 and one from July 29 to August 1.
