Wine fundraiser contest winner from Orland Park

Sunny Sherard, manager of Granite City Food & Brewery in Orland Park, received a plaque for winning the red wine pairing during a contest for Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest Foundation.

The event, which took place at the Orland Park Civic Center, was coordinated by Tim Howe.

Sponsors included the Rotary Club of Oak Forest, Holistic Happenings in Tinley Park and Rago & Associates in New Lenox.

Local artists donated part of their art sales from the silent auction art exhibition and helped bring in $1,825 for the Treasure Chest.

The Orland Park-based nonprofit organization was founded by Colleen Kisel to help provide toys and gifts to children with cancer in area hospitals.
