Palos Community Hospital and Palos Health & Fitness Center will host Women’s Day 2013 from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Sept. 21 at Palos Health & Fitness Center, 15430 West Avenue, Orland Park.
The event will offer a morning focused on women’s health and well-being with a variety of educational experiences and interactive breakout sessions, according to a news release from the hospital.
Attendees can learn how different aspects of health can impact overall wellness. The keynote speaker will be Stacey Vicar, a life coach who has guided many individuals into living their ideal life, according to the release.
Other presenters include Dr. Megan DeJong, an obstetrician/gynecologist who will discuss the elements of good health. Dr. Mona Lal, a psychiatrist, will present on how to best care for emotional health.
Other sessions will focus on finding balance in a multigenerational life as well as using meditation to find peace with health, the release said.
“We’re excited to continue to bring a dynamic and interactive event year after year,” said JoAnn McGovern, the manager of women’s services, radiology. “This year, we are focusing on providing women with information they can use to find wellness by looking at their health a little differently.”
