The Orland Park Arts Commission will host a performance by Dance Chicago, a professional dance troupe, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 at Sandburg High School’s Performing Arts Center, 13300 S. LaGrange Road, Orland Park.
“We’re very excited to bring Dance Chicago back to Orland Park,” Mayor Dan McLaughlin said in a news release. “This is always one of the arts commission’s most popular shows because it’s a great opportunity to see some of Chicago’s best dance companies right here in Orland Park.”
The performance will include urban, tap, aerial, ethnic, ballet, break dancing, jazz and more. Members of Sandburg’s Orchesis group also will perform.
“We have featured major artists from such companies as the Joffrey Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, the Dutch National Ballet and a host of national and international companies as well as the most talented Chicago-area choreographers, small dance troupes and independent artists,” Dance Chicago artistic director and curator John Schmitz said in the release.
Reserved seating tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students at the Orland Park Recreation Administration Building, 14650 S. Ravinia Ave. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
