HOME BREAK-IN: A resident who was sleeping on the living room couch was awakened about 6 a.m. Oct. 1 by an intruder and yelled out, causing the man, who was described as Hispanic, to flee, jumping the backyard fence at the home in the 16000 block of McDonald Drive, police said. While police were investigating the incident, they got a call about a Hispanic man in the rear yard of a home in the 16000 block of Shetland Court, but the man was gone when officers arrived. Police said the man was seen getting into a light-colored, four-door car and leaving the scene.
DUI ARREST: Lukasz Schidzikowski, 28, 14462 Rathfarn Drive, Homer Glen, was charged with drunken driving and no insurance after a stop Oct. 1 at 147th Street and Creme Road, police said.
HIT AND RUN: Assel Elhaj, 19, 14521 Pheasant Lane, Homer Glen, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to report an accident after she rear-ended a vehicle and left the scene Oct. 2 at 143rd Street and Pheasant Lane, police said.
NO LICENSE: Benjamin Uribe-Reyes, 44, of Chicago, was charged with driving without a valid license and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after an Oct. 3 stop at Beaver Lake Drive and Bell Road, police said.
REVOKED LICENSE: Anthony Kelso, 35, 213 Stephen St., Lemont, was charged with driving on a revoked license and improper passing after being stopped Oct. 4 at Beaver Lake Drive and Bell Road, police said.
REVOKED LICENSE: Treo Le, 37, 1026 Key Largo Drive, Romeoville, was charged with driving on a revoked license and speeding Oct. 4 after a stop at Hawk Haven and Lemont roads, police said.
VANDALISM: Red paint was poured on the hood of a Chevrolet Cobalt Oct. 5 while it was parked in front of a residence in the 12000 block of Cedar Ridge Drive.
ORDER VIOLATED: Bradley Schlott, 45, 14656 Teal Drive, Homer Glen, was charged with violating an order of protection after police arrested him Oct. 8 at his home, police said.
POT POSSESSION: Maximilian Bauer, 19, 1726 Burling St., Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after being questioned by police Sept. 21 at Wlodarski Park, police said.
DUI ARREST: Amy Dollaske, 37, 18126 Wildwood Drive, Lansing, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane usage and running a traffic light after a Sept. 22 stop in the 14200 block of LaGrange Road, police said.
RETAIL THEFT: Letrese Lanier, 43, 21143 Gray Hawk Drive, Matteson, and Sylvester Clemons, 40, 19 Indianwood Blvd., Park Forest, were charged with retail theft after stealing more than $600 worth of an energy drink Sept. 24 from CVS Pharmacy, 11201 143rd St., police said.
BATTERY: John Steiner, 48, 15818 Terrace Drive, Oak Forest, was charged Sept. 24 with battery to a police officer and resisting arrest after spitting in the face of an officer who was trying to persuade him to leave White Castle, 15801 Harlem Ave., at the request of employees, police said.
DUI CHARGE: Wilberth Lopez, 41, of Phoenix, Ariz., was charged with drunken driving and no insurance after a stop Sept. 28 in the 15100 block of LaGrange Road, police said.
DUI CASE: Mark Janus, 56, 13329 Strawberry Lane, Orland Park, was charged with drunken driving, improper lane usage and driving without headlights after being stopped Sept. 28 on Parkview Drive, police said.
DUI ALLEGED: Karolina Jaros, 21, 15450 Raintree Drive, Orland Park, was charged with drunken driving, driving on a suspended license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of an accident after an Oct. 3 crash at 151st Street and Orlan Brook Drive, police said.
DUI ARREST: Roger Zetterberg, 23, 7733 165th Place, Tinley Park, was charged with drunken driving, speeding and no insurance after he was stopped Oct. 4 in the 9100 block of 159th Street, police said.
